From Imagination to Materialization: The Way of the Architect

The architect is a great analogy for the process the mind goes through when bringing into reality what begins as a thought..

The architect begins by imagining what could be.

His imagination then begins to transition into an ideal – a great building, beautiful home, modern office building, or towering sky scrapers.

Once this ideal has become clear, he begins to visualize exactly what his building will look like – how  many floors, the size of the windows, how high the ceiling will be, how many bathrooms and on and on.

This visualization brings clarity and focus and leads to inspired action. He draws the blueprint, sketching out every detail and begins commissioning the appropriate people who can build the structure from his blueprint.

Finally the building is complete and the ribbon is cut. His thought has materialized.

With or without his knowledge he has followed the scientific process of manifesting into physical form that which was once a thought by using the Power of Mind.

Imagination –> Idealization –> Visualization –> Inspired Action –> Materialization.

Applying the way of the architect

Let’s take a look at how this can be applied to our life as we learn to imagine, create, and construct both the smallest and largest things on a daily basis.

To begin, you must use your mind’s eye to see your ideal of the end result before a single step is taken. Before drawing the blueprint, you must know what it is you want to design.Using the Power of Mind to visualize and create your ideal life

Imagination

If you do not know what it is that you want, begin by using your power of imagination. Imagine what you would accomplishment if there were no barriers to your success. Imagine what conditions would bring you happiness, harmony and an overall sense of well being. Imagine you were a child, but you had the knowledge you have now, what would you do differently.

Or in a more practical manner, imagine what it would be like to have your dream job, a harmonious family life, to be your ideal weight, to be debt free, to have the education you want etc.

Idealization

As your imagination begins to narrow down to a specific goal, the once blurry picture will now begin to come into focus. See it as clearly as you can from Within, and you will plant the seeds for it to take place without. This is your ideal unfolding.

Hold this thought of the ideal in your mind. Now go a step further and use the mind’s power of visualization to bring a new level of focus and concentration to your ideal.

Visualization

With visualization you must see the picture more and more complete. See the details. As the details begin to unfold, the ways and means for bringing it into manifestation will develop. Thought will lead to actions, actions will lead to methods.

Inspired Action

The general plan may not be evident in the beginning. But as you begin taking the steps toward your plan, the mind will react accordingly and give you the clarity needed to take the next step.

This is an important point to remember. You won’t have every detail of the big picture or step by step instructions when you first begin the journey  toward realizing your ideal. For many people, this can lead to paralysis. But the key is that you must take action. The more action you take, the more you will activate the forces and faculties Within your Infinite Mind that will give you the knowledge, guidance, ability, and resources to continue moving toward your goal. This is inspired action.

Just ask yourself, “What is the very next step I need to take?”

First the outline will form, then the details. Then you will begin developing the power to formulate clearer plans which will materialize.

However keep in mind that your primary purpose or goal may change or be modified as you begin taking the necessary steps and receiving power. This is because your mind is expanding, your level of thinking is growing, it is becoming larger, it is allowing you to see and feel with more clarity than when you first began developing your ideal.

This is one of the reasons why we can’t just sit around and think about things. We learn and refine our plans to perfection as we go along. We must begin to do the things that create progress, which leads to additional power, which will lead to even further progress.

The more power we accumulate, the better in tune with the Infinite we become. We receive more insight, more guidance, and more intuition, which will make the picture of our ideal life, and the path which will take us there, an active realization.

Then materialization occurs

The more you do this on a smaller scale, it could be losing 10 lbs, getting a job, or acing a test, the more faith in the Power of Mind you develop. Faith increases power. You will also develop more confidence.  Confidence solidifies power. You will increase your ability for deep concentration and focus. This allows you to block out all of the things not conducive to achieving your ideal while seeing, with clarity, far in advance those things that will bring about your ideal. You will the see the value in endurance and obtain the courage to take on bigger bolder ideals – Progress on the outside resulting from your Power on the Inside.
